Trotter Fodder

God dammit! Here we go again. Mercury's Burger Week is back and I'm in town this year. So I figured what the hell. I'm going to have one or two.

The Slow Trotter: 3 flame emojis out of 5. I've got to be honest, I didn't even realize it was a pulled pork burger when I first dove in. I took research off the table this year and I'm deciding to go places based on proximity, which means, if I can't walk there we're in trouble. Back to the Trotter at hand. From the people behind my top burger in PDX, Slow Burger teamed up with Tails & Trotters.

Like I said, I walked in blind, but was excited. Alas, I was delivered a dry burger topped with cubes of pork and some chopped lettuce. It was fairly devoid of the carolina BBQ sauce that packed a nice tang the first couple of bites. I was missing it the rest of the burger. I found myself layering the spicy ketchup that accompanied my burger atop bun and all. Dont get it twisted, the ingredients were great when there. The most exciting thing about the burger was using the Andre The Giant sized toothpick to eat all the little pork pieces that fell out.

If you must, try it. You might get one with more bbq sauce on it and that might just add another flame emoji to the total.
